Association's Vision

The Dubbo Rural & Suburban Residents & Ratepayers Association Inc. ("DRSRRA") has been established to effect the following Charter: 

"Protect the rights of the residents living in the Dubbo LGA ("Local Government Area"). Address issues pertaining to ALL residents in a timely, orderly and professional manner, using proper due process at all times having the interest of the resident as paramount. Ensure fairness and equality in addressing opportunities and issues on behalf of all residents in the Dubbo LGA."

Processing of Issues & Opportunities

The Sub-Committees identify what issues and/or opportunities there are in their suburb by mail-out, advertising through the media and monthly community meetings. The Chair of each Sub-Committee sits on the DRSRRA Management Committee representing their suburb within the Dubbo LGA. The Ratepayers Committee meets monthly to address the needs of each Sub-Committee and that of its financial members at each Monthly Members meetings.

Once key issues and/or opportunities have been prioritised, the DRSRRA Management Committee, through its President, communicates in writing to the Dubbo City Council and/or other key stakeholders with a  follow-up meeting if required. Once a response has been received back to the DRSRRA Management Committee, the response is tabled and discussed at the Monthly Members meeting and minuted.
